Reduce image bytes without silently changing dimensions
Image compression and image resizing solve different problems. This tool keeps the source dimensions and re-encodes supported images with the selected quality where the codec allows it. Use the resize tool when pixel width or height also needs to change.
A lower quality setting can reduce photographic JPG, WebP, and AVIF files, but every source behaves differently. Already optimized files may stay similar or even become larger. ImgMini reports the new size and percentage change so the result can be evaluated rather than assumed.
Tune photo quality when a service limits bytes but accepts the current dimensions.
Browser PNG export is not a substitute for specialized palette quantization.
Compress, resize, or convert based on the actual constraint
Compress when the dimensions are correct but the file is too heavy. Resize when the image has more pixels than required. Convert PNG to WebP when a large transparent or screenshot-style file needs a more aggressive size reduction.

Are my images uploaded to ImgMini?
No. ImgMini runs the conversion in your browser. The selected files stay on your device unless you choose to share them elsewhere.
Why did a PNG not get smaller?
Browser PNG export is lossless and may not beat specialized PNG compressors. Try WebP when file size matters most.
