Resize by percentage or exact pixels with predictable proportions
Resizing changes the pixel dimensions of an image. Percentage mode is useful for reducing a mixed batch consistently, while pixel mode is better when a form, marketplace, email template, or website layout specifies an exact width or height.
Keep aspect ratio enabled to prevent stretching. Upscaling above 100% creates more pixels but cannot add missing detail; it may make softness and compression artifacts easier to see. The result row shows the actual output dimensions for every file.
Set a required width or height and use aspect lock to calculate the other side.
Larger dimensions interpolate existing pixels rather than reconstructing information.
Start from the destination's dimension requirement
Use exact pixels for known slots such as a 1200-pixel article image. Use percentage when the goal is simply half-size or a consistent batch reduction. Crop first when the destination also requires a different aspect ratio.
Checks before downloading
- Leave aspect ratio locked unless deliberate stretching is required.
- Resize once from the best available original to avoid repeated interpolation.
- After resizing, inspect small text and faces at the intended display size.
Questions
Are my images uploaded to ImgMini?
No. ImgMini runs the conversion in your browser. The selected files stay on your device unless you choose to share them elsewhere.
Can I resize many files at once?
Yes. Select multiple files and ImgMini applies the same resize settings to each one.
